Abstract

Dr. Hassan Ahmadi (born in 1322 in Damghan) is a writer, professor, scientist, faculty member of the Faculty of Natural Resources of Tehran University and a permanent member of the Academy of Sciences. He has a bachelor's degree in forest and rangeland from Tehran University in 1345, a master's degree in erosion and sedimentation from Bordeaux University in France in 1350 and a doctorate in watershed management from Bordeaux University in France in 1353.
In September 2013, Islamic World Science Citation Database introduced 20 highly authored Iranian scientists in the field of agricultural sciences. The articles of these scientists have been published in prestigious scientific journals of the country and indexed in ISC. In this list, Dr. Hassan Ahmadi ranks seventh in the list of the 20 most authored scientists in Iran in the field of agricultural sciences. In addition to training scientific and expert forces in the academic field, Dr. Ahmadi has conducted various researches and publications in the field of natural resources. Among others, we can mention the authoring of the book "Applied Geomorphology" and "Water Erosion". In the first volume, the author has depicted its water erosion and in the second volume, the desert and wind erosion have been explained. These two books are taught as a foundation in colleges. (These two volumes of the book of the year winner are Tehran University Publishing and Printing Institute) "Snow and Avalanche Control" This book is the result of several years of effort, which was done in order to write a basic academic book, in the specialized field of snow and avalanche. This work was written based on the chapters determined by the Supreme Planning Council of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and scientific and new topics, with an emphasis on practical basics. "Formations of the Quaternary period," "pasture culture and watershed" and "geomorphology of arid and semi-arid areas" are among the other works of this honorable man.
